by Todd Betzold With only five competitors left, we are down to one of the last Mystery Box Challenges on tonight’s MasterChef. Under tonight’s wooden box, the competitors found ground pork, ground veal and ground beef. They had 60 minutes to make an amazing dish that would wow the judges, with them only tasting the top three dishes. Ben realizes quickly that all the ingredients are present for Shepherd’s Pie, but Suzy also makes that observation…so a battle of the pies. Mr. Arrogance himself, Christian, is actually stumped at this challenge, as he is not sure what to do for…

After a look back at their performances, Carson Daly announces that America saved Vicci Martinez (makes me one happy guy). Now it is time for CeeLo to choose his save. Some kind words for each singer, but in the end CeeLo uses his save on Nakia. Hugs go around for all! So, Vicci and Nakia for Team CeeLo. They get right into the results for Team Adam, as we…

by Todd Betzold The Voice is back and we get to see the rest of the singers perform live and see who goes home (sad face). We start out with results from last week’s performances for Team Christina. After a look back at their performances and a tearful speech from Christina, Carson Daly announces that America saved Beverly McClellan (shocking to me, but loved her performance). Now, time for Christina to save one of the remaining girls. She says some nice things about each singer, but in the end she decides to save the superstar voice…

by Todd Betzold We are down to the top 38 on MasterChef and tonight, we have two culinary stress tests to see who makes the top 16 and into the MasterChef kitchen. The first test: after a dump truck backs into the kitchen and drops thousands of apples, the contestants are tested on their precision with their knife skills. Judge Joe Bastianich said, “Precision, accuracy and focus is what we’re looking for.” They are also looking for consistency of slicing and minimal waste. The test has many of the contestants cutting themselves in their attempts to cut the…
