Therefore you think you to be able the dancing season 8: Is among the best 8 performance iteration main point

By Lindsay Strouse   Our Top 8 dancers return this week on So You Think You Can Dance to prove once again why they deserve our votes. And luckily for us, Lady Gaga and Broadway legend Rob Marshall sit in as guest judges for the night. Clad in a red plastic suit and blue hair, Lady Gaga will certainly provide a little extra entertainment on the panel.   Dancers : Sasha and Pasha (all-star) Style : Quickstep Choreographer : Jonathan Roberts Song : “Putting on the Ritz” by Terry Snyder This was far from your ordinary samba, but it was full of fun…

by Gina Scarpa   Perhaps there is no more important week on So You Think You Can Dance than this one. Making the Top 10 not only means getting to dance with all stars starting next week, but it also means a spot on the national tour. No doubt it will be a tough decision for the judges tonight to send two dancers home.   Things kicked off with an energetic, modern, ballroom-esque routine choreographer by newcomer Kelly Abbey, of Australia.   Before we get to the results, can we just acknowledge how awesome it is that So You…

By Lindsay Strouse   It’s hard to believe we’re only a week away from finding out the Top 10 dancers of So You Think You Can Dance . Each couple is given the opportunity to dance twice to win the hearts of America. Helping to decide our dancers’ fates this week on the judging panel is guest judge (and previous Broadway star) Jesse Tyler Ferguson from Modern Family. Also joining the panel this week is staple choreographer Sonya Tayeh.     Here’s how the night went for the remaining 12 dancers:   Dancers : Sasha and Alexander Style : Pasa Doble Choreographer : Tony Meredith…

Happy project: Plot 4 iteration main points

by Gina Scarpa   This week on The Glee Project , the theme is Dance Ability and the contestants’ homework assignment is “Hey, Soul Sister” by Train. When guest judge/mentor is Harry Shum Jr. (who plays Mike Chang on Glee) walks into the room on performance day, everyone freaks out. It’s clear the guy is a fan favorite.   Samuel ends up winning the homework challenge, which is pretty surprising considering he doesn’t consider himself a dancer. It was his confidence that ended up winning over Harry and Robert. Back in the room, Alex says that he threw the…

by Gina Scarpa   Tonight’s elimination episode of So You Think You Can Dance began with a Bollywood routine, performed brilliantly by everyone on that stage! Noticeably missing from the panel was last night’s guest judge, Carmen Electra, but I was quickly distracted by Travis Wall’s dapper tuxedo.   First to find out their fate are Melanie and Marko and Caitlynn and Mitchell – both couples are safe!   Time for a little plug from SYTYCD: National Dance Day is coming on July 30th and there are routines for everyone on fox.com/dance. You can learn from Tabitha and…

By Lindsay Strouse   With another week behind us, we are one step closer to choosing our favorite dancer on So You Think You Can Dance . Though contemporary is near and dear to my heart, I do wish we had a little more diversity left in the competition. And with the only ballroom and tap dancer gone, and our hip hop dancers slowly dwindling, it looks like this is boiling down to yet another Battle of the Contemporary/Jazz dancers.   Guest judging tonight’s performances are Carmen Electra and TRAVIS WALL! So happy about that. Here’s how our dancers…

Sound: The scene demonstrated that the finals displays the iteration main point

by Todd Betzold   Here we are…one more night for the top four to prove why you should vote for them to be The Voice .   The night gets kicked off with a performance by the coaches of a medley of different songs, followed by a look back at the road to the final four. For tonight’s episode, each contestant will be singing one original song and one duet with their coach and then it goes into the hands of America, as they will choose the winner by their votes…no points from the coaches this week.   Kicking…

by Gina Scarpa   Things get started on tonight’s elimination episode of So You Think You Can Dance with a jazz routine, set to a song from Pixar’s “The Incredibles”. I don’t know if I’m alone in this but this was, by far, my least favorite group routine of the season thus far. No offense, Michael Rooney.   The kissing couple, Melanie and Marko, are the first to find out that they’re safe. Unfortunately, the same isn’t true for Ashley and Chris, who will be dancing for their lives later. Also safe this week are: Ryan and Ricky, Jordan and…

Happy project: With Emily Vasquez exclusive interview

June 27, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

by Gina Scarpa   On last night’s episode of The Glee Project , Emily found herself in the bottom three along with Cameron and Damian. The theme was “Vulnerability” and Emily had a powerful story to share but couldn’t seem to focus during the video shoot. Her performance of “Grenade” was not enough to wow the judges, who felt least emotionally connected to her. She was not on the callback list and today, we spoke to her in an exclusive interview about her time on The Glee Project.   Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was your performance experience prior to trying…

Therefore you think you to be able the dancing season 8: Is among the best 20 removes the iteration main point (again)

by Gina Scarpa   Last week, it was a huge celebration among the contestants as Nigel announced that, for the first time ever in the history of So You Think You Can Dance , no one would be going home from the Top 20. The party is over tonight though, as now four dancers must leave the competition.   Going into the evening, my predictions are: Nick and Iveta and Wadi and Missy.   Things get started with a Top 20 routine, choreographed by Dave Scott, where everyone is dressed so alike that I can’t even tell them apart – not even the boys…
