The Hollywood actress will take charge of new movie Into The Beautiful, a comedy-drama about old friends reuniting. Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan Crowned Miss America 2011

The 86th Miss America pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas. The winner of Miss America 2011 was Miss Nebraska, 17-year-old Teresa Scanlan. The pageant was broadcast on ABC. Scanlan, at age 17, is the youngest Miss America winner since 1921. The winner that year was 15-year-old Margaret Gorman of the District of Columbia. Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron from Virginia, crowned Scanlan, who will receive a $50,000 scholarship.
